Meditation Instructions
Before you begin you might like prepare your surroundings. Make sure you have a rose - either real or photo. Take a few long deep breaths, before you soften your gaze. You may close your eyes and turn inward, or just keep a soft gaze on your rose.

The Rose
 Rosa (Latin) or the rose has many symbolic associations throughout our world’s history.   It is suggested that the first rose was grown in China 5000 years ago. 

You may like to align yourself with roses - their beauty and fragrance. It may be a red rose (eg. Mr Lincoln – a fabulous rose for cutting and has an unforgettable scent) for its links to romance and Valentine’s Day (more), or you may come from the USA and know a rose to be your state’s emblem, or you might be of a strong faith and follow Christianity and use the rosary – thought to be based around the rosarium or crown of roses.

Whatever your fascination with the rose flower, you must agree, that it is a beautiful addition to any garden – formal or cottage, heritage or contemporary as well as being on the top our list for a great gift to gardeners.
Roses are varied in size, flower and petal composition, scent and colour.
